15 May 2007 - Arielle Allen wins Award for Academic Excellence. Way to go Arielle, we are all very proud of you.

12 May 2007 Hamilton HS Senior Nicole Kittelson Wins State Title!!
Our very own Nicole Kittelson continued her amazing season, by sprinting to the AIA (Arizona Interscholastic Association) 300 meter Intermediate Hurdle Championship in a time of 44.53. Nicole was a little disappointed with her time, as nerves got the better of her for the first part of the race, before she put the hammer down the last 100 meters, but was however, ecstatic with her win.

Super Soph Sydney Beatty help the Chandler HS girls team take the team title for the second straight year by running a great lead off leg for the winning 4 x 800 relay team and placing 8th in the 3200 in 11:31.83. She also competed in the very competitive 800 (17th in 2:27.07) and 1600 (10th in 5:19.03). That's what you call putting in some work for your team.

Hamilton HS Fantastic Freshman Arielle Allen, paced the surprising  4 x 100, with three freshmans (7th) and 4 x 400 (9th)  relay teams.  She also placed 14th overall in the high jump (4' 10") and was one of only five freshman to participate in the state high jump competition.

8 May 2007 - Anna Rodriguez  place 3nd overall, 1st female (males/females raced together) among 13 competitors in the ARR (Arizona Road Racers) Open Mile Heat 1 @ Scottsdale CC with a time of 6:00.56.

5 May 2007 - Running in only her second track meet ever and also running into a strong headwind at Chandler High School, eighth grader and tennis player Desiree Jackson, place 6th (13.72) in the 100m dash for Highland Junior High at the AZ Junior High State Championships. Congratulation to Desiree on a job well done. We all know she has a bright future in Track & Field, as well as, Tennis. Now if we can just get her to look up when she runs.

4 May 2007 - The finals of the Fiesta Region Championships got off to her surprising (to most, but not all) start with what the experts call an upset. Our very own Tony Sims shocked the field by winning 100 meters with a outstanding time of 10.83. Hamilton had a great showing in this race as Tony outleaned his teammate Ryan Milus (10.85) for the victory. Covaughn Deboskie placed 7th (11.07) after pulling up lame with a strain hamstring.

Freshman Myshelle Allen showed much promise by placing 8th in the 100 meter finals  (13.00). We see big things from Myshelle in the not too distant future.

Arielle Allen (another freshman) also placed 8th in the high jump with a 4'8" and 6th in the 400 meters with a 62.05. A shade of things to come later on in the evening as she lead off the 4 x 400 relay with a situlating leg (58.40) to help Hamilton place 3rd overall behind Chandler and Gilbert with they best time of the year, a 4:09. 82. We believe they can go even faster and hope to see that at the state meet next week.

Sydney Beatty strong lead off leg put Chandler in great position to secure a victory in the first relay of the night, the 4 x 800 relay. However, she wasn't done yet, as she came back to capture the 3200 meters crown by running a time of 11:50.22. Can you believe Sydney was involved in 31 of Chandler's point? Very Impressive to say the least. Second place went to the smooth running Taylor Cole (another freshman for Hamilton) in a time of 11:56.20 and 6th place to Amber Pasternak in 12:38.59. Yes Amber is also a freshman. Can we say bright future for Hamilton, God willing?

One of the highlights of the meet had to be Nicole Kittelson scorching 300IH race. In the process of winning another long hurdle crown, Nicole rewrote the record books by breaking her own Fiesta Region record she established earlier in the week with a near perfect race and a blazing 44.20. Nicole also lead off the 50.23 3rd place 4 x 100 and anchored the 3rd place 4:09.82 4 x 400 relay teams. All in a nights work for Nicole.

2 May 2007 - The 5A Fiesta Region Championships got off to a great start Wednesday for our FTHTC athletes. Leading the way was Sydney Beatty with a 2nd place finish in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:22.67. She then came back and ran the 800 meters in 2:29.66 to place 6th. All in all Sydney scored 11 points for a very powerful Chandler High School squad.

In the same meet Arielle Allen (400m 62.05) and Nicole Kittelson (300IH 45.09) qualified for the finals on Friday night. Nicole's time of 45.09 was a new Fiesta Region meet record.

Tony Sims who has been working out with the club and coming back from a pulled hamstring showed some of his speed for the first time this year by qualify very well. Tony qualified 5th in the 100 meters (11.07) behind teammate Covaugh Deboskie (10.94) and 2nd in the 200 meters with a fast 22.28.  We believe Tony will surprise a lot people in the finals and show us all what he is made of.

27 April 27 2007 - Arielle Allen place 4th and 5th at Chandler City Meet in the high jump with a jump of 4' 10' and 400m with a time of 63.06. She then came back and ran strong legs on the 4 x 100 relay and 4 x 400 relay. Both relay teams finish in second place to a very strong Chandler HS squad.

At the same meet, Sydney Beatty placed 2nd in the 800m to her teammate, Quiana Jackson with a time of 2:30.73. She also helped the Chandler 4 x 800 to a comfortable 10:02.31win.

Nicole Kittelson continued a Championship ways at the City Meet by winning the 300IH in a very mellow (for her) 45.20. She then showed her versatility by stepping down to the 100m and scoring a point for Hamilton by placing 5th with a 13.06. She also ran a leg on the 2nd place 4 x 400 relay. All in a days work.

22 April 2007 - Kittleson rank number in state

300IH hurdler Nicole Kittelson is on top of the rankings in her flagship event with her 44.76.

21 April 2007 - Anna Rodriguez continues to improve in the 800 meters. Anna ran a 2:32.98 to finish first in the open division of the flames invitational.  The 2:20s are not far off.

20 April 2007 - Sensational Senior Nicole Kittelson wins Tribune 300IH Crown. Nicole Kittleson won the 300 meter Intermediate Hurdles Championships @ the 4th Annual Tribune Invitational at Westwood HS in Mesa, AZ. In the process she broke the meet record of 45.45 which was set last year by Dobson's Courtney Hayes (who was also in this years race), by running a very fast 44.76 in the finals.  Nicole ran a flawless race and ran away from the competition in the home stretch for an easy and impressive victory. Next up for Nicole is the Chandler City Championships at Hamilton HS on Wednesday April 25th starting at high noon.

20 April 2007 - Beatty Qualifies! Sydney Beatty, concentrating on trying to qualify for the state meet in four events as a sophmore, accomplish her goal. She ran a 2:24.17 in the 800 meters, which help her qualify for the state meet. She has now qualified for the 800, 1600, 3200 meters and 4 x 800 meter relay for Chandler HS. Mighty impressive accomplishment to say the least.

20 April 2007 - Arielle Allen helps Hamilton HS 4 x 400 relay qualify for state meet. Bouncing back from a earlier fall at the finish line in the open 400 (she still picked herself up and ran a 63.13 to finish 14th overall), scaped up legs and all, Allen ran a gutsy leadoff leg (61.47) to put her team in good position for a qualifying time.  Other team members were Tawnie Frazier, Annika Rode (1600m 5:27.74 4th) and Nicole Kittleson, who ran a great anchor leg (59.59) by coming from 20 meters back to catch the Highland HS athlete for a 2nd place finish in they heat and 8th overall. The 4:13.47 qualifies them for the state meet in a few weeks at Glendale Community College.

14 April 2007 - Super Soph Sydney Beatty places 3rd in the 1600m at prestigious Sun Angel Classic with a time of 5:21.19.  A 12 second improvement over her previous seasons' best. Sydney continues to improve on a weekly basis and we expect to see her under or close to the 5 minute barrier by seasons end.

14 April 2007 - Hamilton HS Freshman strut they stuff at Freshman Showcase. Led by an arrear of great performances, the Hamilton ladies won the showcase and the gents finish second.  FTHTC member Arielle Allen competed in the High Jump, where she place 6th out of 18 competitors, 4 x 100 relay (1st out of 17 teams with a time of 51.70) and the 4 x 400 (7th out of 16 teams). In all Arielle and her relay team members were responsible for 11 points out of Hamilton's 82.

Other Hamilton members who competed well were Stephanie Bickford (100m - 13.38 6th, LJ - 15' 3.75" TJ - 31' 11.75" 1st ) Myshelle Allen (100m - 13.67 7th, 200m - 28.20 4th), Alexandra Suarez (200m - 32.99),  Callie Joseph (400m 1:10.47),

On the boys side,  Jeremy Morris (100m - 11.94 2nd, 200m - 24.25.2nd), Zach Bauman (100m - 12.12 8th, 200m - 24.75 11th), Randy Bryant (400m - 53.78 4th) Le'Sean Marks (110HH - 17.17 5th, 300IH, 44.29 6th), Jackson, Darius (110HH - 19.41, 300IH - 47.52),

4 x 100m - 45.10 1st, 4 x 400 - 3:40.37 2nd, 4 x 800 - 9:27.95 6th

13 April 2007 - Rawle Crichlow runs 11.49 in the 100m and 23.17 in the 200m at Mesa Track & Field Classic to place 12th overall in both events.

13 April 2007 - Anna Rodriguez runs her fastest 800m since returning to track competition a year ago from a 5 year sabatical.  Anna's time of 2:34.41 was about 4 seconds faster than her previous best. She place 10th overall and 2nd in her heat at the Mesa Track & Field Classic.  Anna was very happy with her time and vows to bring it down even further. She also promise her coach she will run her first lap faster.

Injury forces Nicole Kittelson out of Tempe Winn/Zucco Relays. A slightly pulled harmstring sideline the disappointed Kittelson from participating in this past weekend Tempe Relays and Sun Angel Classic.  Nicole hopes to be recovered to compete in Friday's Tribune Classic at Westwood HS in Mesa.

12 April 2007 - Sydney Beatty runs her fastest 1600m time (5:33.99) of the year at Tempe Winn/Zucco Relays in very windy conditions. Sydney wins her heat and places second overall while qualifying for the upcoming Sun Angel Classic @ ASU.  She also ran an excellent lead off leg for her Chandler High School 4 x 800m relay which placed 4th overall.

12 April 2007 - Arielle Allen continues her assault on the 400m by again placing 12th overall (out of 37 girls) at the very competitive Tempe Winn/Zucco Relays.  Her time of 62.47 took almost another second off her previous best open 400m time for the year. She miss qualifying for the Sun Angel Classic by only a few spots (top 9 qualify), which is very impressive for a freshman.

Don't look now, but guess who (Nicole Kittelson) is rank second in the state?

7 April 2007 - Old man Crichlow runs amongst the young lads - At the Paradise Valley CC Invitational, 44 year old Rawle Crichlow places a respectable 8th overall, 3rd in his heat in the 100m with a time of 11.39 and 5th overall, 1st in his heat in the 200m with a time of 22.57. Both races were run into a very strong headwind, which makes these times all the more impressive for a old man running against kids half his age. Way to go Rawle, keep on running. Rawle's secret you ask? He states, "There is no secret, just train fast to race fast."

5 April 2007 - Nicole Kittelson takes her second invitational Champioship in as many weeks by winning the Casa Grande Kiwanis Invitational in the 300m IH with almost the exact time she ran one week earlier. This time it was a 45.85. Who said consistency doesn't pay off? Congrats on collecting more hardware Nicole.

30 March 2007 - Nicole Kittelson wins her first but not last invitational 300m IH Championship at the Kellis Invitational with a sensational time of 45.81. Way to run Nicole.  As we said earlier, watch out for Nicole, she is going to sneak up on some folks and they aren't going to know what pass them until it's too late. Whoosh! Showing her versatility, she also place 11th in the long jump with a jump of 15ft 2inches.

30 March 2007 - Freshman sensation Arielle Allen continues to lower her 400m time. Arielle ran a 63.39 at the Kellis Invitational to place 12th overall. She was among one of the first freshman to finish. Arielle needs to run a 61.09 by season's end to qualify for the state championships and we all know she can do it. She also jump 4ft 5inches in the high jump. Her goal for the year is 4ft 10 inches.

24 March 2007 - Sydney Beatty continues her assault on the 3200m lowering her previous best by 20 seconds with a 11:39.87 whilst placing 10th in a very very competitive race at the Rotary, which saw two girls go under 11 minutes. Before you know it, Sydney will reach that milestone also. She also lead off the 2nd place chandler 4 x 800 team with an impressive 2:27 800m split. Chandler finish with a time of 9:40.95 behind a Xavier (9:34.77) that has to be considered one of the best in the nation.

24 March 2007 - Senior Nicole Kittelson starts off her 2007 season well by placing 7th at the Saturday invitational session of the Chandler Rotary in the 300m Intermediate Hurdles with 47.04. Nicole was a little disappointed with her time and finishing order(she ran the 3rd fastest time in the prelims @ 46.37), but at this point in the season, she is way ahead of where she was last year and should prove a tough foe for those who intend to challenge her this year. We believe she will surprise a lot of folks. She may be quiet, but once she gets into those starting blocks she becomes a tiger with an eye for the finish line.

23 March 2007 - Freshman Arielle Allen won her heat and place 5th overall in the 400m with a time of 64.78 at the Chandler Rotary in the Friday evening session. The Rotary is the premier High School Invitational in Arizona. She was the highest placing 9th grader, this is a great start to her high school career. She also help the Hamilton girls 4 x 400m relay win they heat and place 4th overall with a time of 4:19.91. Congrats Arielle.

3 March 2007 - Chandler HS Sophmore Phenom Sydney Beatty places 3rd at Aztec Invitational in the 3200 meters with a state qualifying time of 11:59.86. This is a very good time for so early in the season and we should see this time continue to drop as the season goes on. She also help her 4 x 800 relay team to a victory with a 2nd leg of 2:27 for a split.

24 February 2007 - Anna Rodriguez & Rawle Crichlow win their respective age groups at the Winter Grand Canyon State Games!  Anna Rodriguez in the open age group 400m & 800m. Rawle in the 40-44 age group 100m. There were timing errors at this event, so official times are not available. However, they ran really fast, take our word. The win gets them free entrance into the Summer Games.

18 February 2007 - Sydney Beatty & Rawle Crichlow place high in their respective age groups at the Arizona Indoor Classic & Indoor JO at NAU in Flagstaff.  Sydney place 4th in the young womens age group 800m with a time of 2:36.56. Rawle won the 40-44 age group in the 60m with a time of 7.14 and the 200m with a time of 23.08.

10 February 2007 - Three FTHTC athletes compete at Glendale CC Gaucho Indoor (outdoor of course) Invite. Sydney Beatty ran a 5:12.90 in winning the women's 1500 meters, with Ann Rodriguez finishing 3rd with a new personal best of 5:29.95. they both came back and ran a relax 1000 meters to finish 1st & 2nd in times of 3:39.32 and 3:39.40. After those events the distance girls had some fun and got they legs really moving by running the 200 meters five minutes after the 1000.  They did very respectful with Anna finishing in 31.83 for 5th place and Sydney running 32.18 for 6th place. The girls achieved they goal in this race by not finishing last. Rawle Crichlow finish 5th in th 60 meter sprint in 7.22 and 5th in the 200 meters in 23.08.

5 February 2007 - Rawle Crichlow tops National Indoor Rankings in the 55 meters - 6.73 and 200 meters - 22.72 and is second to his good buddy Courtney Muhammad (7.15) in the 60 meters - 7.16 in the 40-44 age group. These times are also faster than most of the younger division. Arizona old men running fast.

27 January 2007 - Anna Rodriguez opened up her 2007 track season with a great early season performance in the Paradise Valley CC Puma Invitational. Anna ran a 5:38.81 to finish 5th, this was almost a 30 second improvement from last years time at the same meet. Great job Anna.

27 January 2007 - Rawle Crichlow traveled to Boston, MA to compete in one of the top and most competitive indoor track meets in the country, the Boston University Terrier Invitational. Rawle was one of only a few brave masters athletes to compete against the young studs. Rawle place 30th overall (2nd in his heat) out of 64 sprinters in the 55 meters with a time of 6.73 and 40th overall (1st in his heat) out of 83 sprinters in the 200 meters with a very fast and national leading time in his age group of 22.72. Congrats Rawle, way to hang with those youngsters.

20 January 2007 -  Sydney Beatty & Rawle Crichlow competed at the Lumberjack Invitational at NAU in Flagstaff. This was a college and open meet with exceptionally fast athletes. They both fared very well. Sydney place 6th in the Women's Invitational mile with a time of 6:02.81. Not bad for a 16 year old HS Sophomore, huh? Rawle made the finals of the 60m with a time of 7.18 in the prelims and followed it up with a 12th place overall finish with a time of 7.16.  He then came back and ran a 23.06 to finish 9th in the 200m. Definitely not bad for an "over the hill" old fart.

9 January 2007 - Anna Rodriguez  place 2nd overall, 1st female (males/females) among 12 competitors in the ARR Open Mile Heat 1 @ Scottsdale CC with a time of 6:12.04. She came back 5 minutes later and finish 4th overall, 1st female in 6:39.38. Good workout day for sure.
